RE-Xtreme FC Attack in Max One - Part #2

I installed the lights on the body and OMG! This FC is off the charts! Cool! Yes! Definitely!

I also opted for the White on white for drivability. The necessity to see the wheel angle is always a reality.

This body as also mounted super low. I raised it a little so I could get +9 on the front and +12 on the rear. It's always my preferred DRB setup. But today I ran this on both DRB. 1.8x SSG HT and 2.0x SSG. The new chassis took a few attempts to get to what I like but now I have something a little wilder that the HT chassis. I'll enjoy playing around.

In any case. the driving lights are cut from Yokomo Supra headlamps but the extra chrome really creates an awesome effect. the headlights look like HID in comparison. Samurai Colour matched Yokomo light buckets also installed. The result is one that I'm very happy with.

Max One really is an awesome setting. RC world magazine featured it on the cover last month.

You can always find a new spot.

Or play around.

Refelctions galore. A lot of the ABC hobby body line tape has already scratched off from tapping walls. I rarely have big accidents these days. but there's always a car to T-Bone. hehe.

RE-Xtreme FC Attack in Max One - Part #1

Today, I got together with Mr 13bt and we had a twin, twin FC battle.

We both brought 2 FCs and as it turned out, 2 were street style and 2 were full D1 style.

The certainly looked good parked up before we set about punishing them on the circuit. the yellow and white machines were new builds.

White: RE-Xtreme RE-Amemiya North Craft "C1 Spec" FC3s Rx-7
Red: TAKU 13BT BN Sports Yokomo Samurai Custom FC3s Rx-7
Orange/Yellow: RE-Xtreme Yokomo Street "Pan Speed Asamoto D1 Spec" FC3s Rx-7
FluroYellow:  TAKU 13BT BN SportsSpeed Way Pal FC3s RX-7

Which do you prefer?

They are all very different machines.

Custom headlights on this and mesh rims. Carbon bonnet and a hand made rear wing.

Speed way Pal's wide and FAT fc3s is a popular choice. in some ways the lack of body moulded detail requires a bit extra.intake hose is a nice touch. Large real carbon wing is a nice addition.

Large brakes are also looking cool. I might have to invest in these.

My northcraft Fc is a bit different. I chose to go for plain white and TE-37 SL Hyper Bronze initially. the resulting contrast is a winner. (at this point I hadn't installed the lights, so wait for part 2 for that)

The bright light through Max One's window created a strong lighting effect!

The car's looking awesome.

I think this shot is a favourite. Splitter and extra skirts harden the edge of this machine.

The Chassis were RE-Xtreme DRB x 2 and OTA-Zeon and TA-06. Tandem battles for about 8 hours today. I'm tired, but it was a lot of fun!

RE-Xtreme RC Yokomo DRB SSG & SSG HT

RE-Xtreme RE-DRB HT Tsunami Spec Demo Chassis and Test Chassis. Which is Which?

It doesn't really matter, they will both offer similar performance. But what it means is that I can play around with settings on the test chassis and then transfer them onto the main chassis once refined.

At the moment differences are visually minimal, but actually there are numerous differences.  The front hubs are just one example.

Steering angle is the same, motor and ESC are the same and at the moment dampers are unknown.

I'm going to start by getting them to feel a bit different. I will take the new chassis in a bit of a wild direction to see what works and what doesn't.

I couldn't really do this before on the TA-06 as changes were completely irrelevant between the two.

The test chassis is currently set up with 2.0x FCD I'm starting at 2.5 degree rear toe in and moving away from that. I've already tried a short size battery in the central position. Hmmm.

I'm already playing with setups and planning things to try. I need to be methodical about it though.

I'm really looking forward to this.

Now the electronics are in, I'll walk you around the chassis. By the way I have already added the 3/4 size battery mount.

In some ways the Test Chassis has more upgrades than my HT chassis.  Titanium Screws, Titanium coated suspension shafts, Front alloy bumper stay. Some bearing upgrades etc.

The Blue Keyence Tachyon ESC matches very well and the Black case 7.5T Keyence Luxon KG always looked good. For now, I'm running 90T Spur and 23T pinion.

I also swapped the Driver's head . The upper deck is slightly different between the HT version also.

Stand by for shakedown test of the tester. haha.

Russ.

RE-Amemiya FC - Build Update #6 Emotional

These Work XD9 wheels are Speed Way Pal D9 Versions in +10

Something about XD9's dish that makes them always look bigger than they are. Even on real cars.

You will also notice I used about 15 speed way pal body screws to hold on the splitter. It's already broken, so it may end up being an air dam rater than a splitter. but It looks very cool.

I'll get it outside tomorrow for a mini photo shoot. I may get the final body line tape on, lights installed and the frp re-enforcing done, but it won't be 100% complete because the interior dash is missing.

Then it's off to Max One. DRB FC Twin Attack!

I like these Hyper Bronze TE37 on it. Yummy!

Used was a bargain.

near Identical spec. Currently installed with 2.0x FCD CS drive.

SSG vs SSG HT chassis

I'll be installing the Street Jam Keyence and Sanwa System from my departing mega TA-06 soon.

This will give me two near identical chassis I can play with side by side for testing various settings.
The only real difference so far I can see is the chassis itself and I have Overdose C Hub Set of similar degree.

Fun times ahead.
