Sakura Pit Stop and ready for action.

So what is the result of the abuse on the driveway. Gymkhana Style is fun. the chassis is pitching and diving and looking awesome.   I added the Roof Scoop, Front wiper, and rear Diffuser. Still waiting for light buckets and mirrors.

the barriers fell over in the wind... it wasn't me.

Anyway. One of the CVD pins came out. that meant a repair, the 3d parts I printed for the shocks also one stripped a thread. so After fixing those two things. back in action.

I also swapped the lesser known rear LCAs RR for RL. this extends the wheelbase by 3mm.

Remounted the chaser on the same magnet position. So now the two bodies I have are better fit. Im also running a 3mm spacer under them for more droop.

So the current chassis looks like this. in URR mode.

I really want to run these. TE37 are +12 and way too wide  ... but I have another plan.

Ready for my next monthly run at RC Drift QLD next weekend..

Remounted the blue FD also and removed the crazy +13 front camber.  See you @ the track.

Sakura EVO On-Road

it's to get it out on the street.  Sakura D6 bucks and dives for some good effect.

Yep that tread is grip! Windscreen banner sometimes misleading.

Sakura and EVO X Premature Debut

Another month has rolled around and that means a trip to the track.

While the EVO X was not quite ready. (lights and mirrors and wipers etc etc. ) it was mounted up and good enough for a run.

Another thing i don't like about the sakura suspension layout is the inability to get the wheelbase dialled in. It's the short end of 197 and with active rear camber this effctively shortens the wheelbase by quite a lot on rear squat, so some bodies may not fit.

I had a bit of rubbing as the rear changes. but i was able to dial that.

Performance is "Really good" for what it is. A full plastic chassis. and I was definitely on doors. with other machines.

The second Sakura D6 was also Debut on track. I'll have to spend some more time on settings but it also was drivable, but not with the same stability as the rear motor setup... just yet. Looping rear but the celica body doesn't help.

Something like a rear wing, ducktail makes all the difference sometimes. Even my FD without a wing was near undrivable.

Supra Man was on point as usual.

and these boys lapping well.

Today's venue was RC Drift QLD. many a lap down, the surface is holding up pretty well.

Makinen is just the navigator.

deep in the trains.

Swip Swap close to the Evo Bros

Some good laps. !! fun times!! entil next month.  Finish the Evo and prep the dirt track.
