New Build Start. Pandora RPS13 - 180sx - Tohoku Style.

What's Tohoku Style.

Basically a 180sc with a Type X style body kit made by Hot Road Japan. The lights sit 3 fingers high possible to set with a pivot light controller. I had one of these for my real FD.   

Cut is done. Lights already cut also for the sleepy eye effect. 

So what colour will match these rims.

Colour will be Show Up Maziora Andromeda II. If you know you know. Popular with Signal auto Cars in the late 90's and early 2000's

Andromeda II is a Blue base wth Gold and Pink Flip Paint. 

I used to live not far from a Show Up paint shop in Urayasu, so it was always a dream to paint something in real Maziora Paint. Now that's possible.

Saturday Sliders Part 2

GCRC Battles continue. Was good to get the two machines together again.

 Still looking mad when sliding together.

GCRC Workshop Backyard Diorama.

Well, she's finished. Just in time for the new year.

You would have noticed in my previous GT-R delivery post that the diorama was almost done.  But the minor details were outstanding. Having disposed of the GT-R and pushed the motor-less 86 inside.

It was time to finish the diorama. My Gemini was the first to be shot in the backyard. Lights are on, but in fact it's daytime. Who left the lights on?

Someone had been testing the stencil on the checker plate. I wonder who? Who left that lug nut out there also? Might have to put a hose out here, cause the Gemini needs a wash!

Basically, there's enough room to get one car here or you can squeeeeeze in a second. The 180sx is a bit long so it's a single shooter. I lay down some off cuts and a few posters and stuff in the corner. the hot shot and grass hopper will stay with me though.

This is the kind of imagery I hoped to get. Maybe I'll hang the logos... I'm not sure yet.

I wasn't going for 100% minute detail. Just an overall image. I could spend another 200 hours doing more and more and more. But the return is not there. 

What you already get is a fantastic photo-spot. I had these first shots unlit and indoors, so the reflections are harsh. But you get the idea. 

The cars can be the stars. I'll be taking this down to GCRC when they open in 2015. Expect so see some awesome shots of the Moolman's S13 in here.

Saturday Premier Battles

When the premium drift ticket is on the card... stand back, it's getting mental.

With everyone else out buying $2 xmas presents, the hard core are still attacking the concrete.

3.0+ CS requires a different setup but there are still many different ways to achieve the same result. It took a few laps to dial the Strret Jam Rear Motor and the Yokomo DRB to the same handling range, but then it was on!

I had countless laps within the 2centimeter zone on on the b pilar and the 2mm zone in transition. Shit was off the chart...

Of course I can't take pictures when I'm driving.  I need a cameraman.

But it wasn't only two in this tango...   Many laps on line through the tight route.

I think I picked up the camera for about 3 laps. and still managed to click off nice images.  Such is the premium drift.

This DRB is a new entry to GCRC. The Kazama S15 is an awesome shape too.

Implementing a few tricks to get relatively low CS 1.8 looking right.
