STREET JACK MAX ONE - Chassis Heaven

Awesome doesn't even come close to this one. Tamiya Lovers dreams are coming true.

This chassis is a showcase of wonder.

Front and Rear IFS!

Black and blue theme... has serious continuity.

It's a TA05 VDF with the custom IFS setup. The body attaches with a reverse body mount system that sits on the top and then is pinned from below. pretty cool.

This is said body. A beast in itself.

Anyway, the owner brought a bunch of chassis, so lets look more.

This is a TA-06 base with an American import chassis. X-----? something I don't remember.  The steering is a pretty freaking cool design that will allow for insane angle. TWIN SERVO!

Front links are 20000 yen Tatsuken Ashi. they are infinitely adjustable.

One of the hottest products right now. but only the rich can afford them. the front and rear set is over 30000 yen. That's another chassis for most people.

Anyway, this machine has TRF dampers updated with Overdose caps, spring holders and adjusters. the springs are becomming popular too. this very soft quick acting spring style is catching on.

Wrap up next carbon sheet used on the servo. and OD parts to finish it off.

Here is a TA-06 similar to my own... except the plastic tub remains. These are still among the best handling drift chassis in Japan. Don't let the rear motor freak you out. There's a lot of people overseas jumping on the front motor design. But really I've never seen one work more effectively than the mid or rear designs and almost NO pro drivers use them in Japan.

Anyway, this is set. RC square, Overdose and TRF is a good combo. should be around 90000 yen for one of these. New.

Anyone want to buy mine...?  RE-Xtreme TA-06 PRO Tsunami Spec Phase 2.2

Anyway here is the last of the set. It seems to be a  TA-06 with a lateral battery position and a few Overdose mods for reliable drift setting.

There is about 5 grand in chassis right here. Lift your game people.

Bodies are for show, but the oohs and ahhs come from the bling chassis.

Maximum Insanity - Plus

I just had time to go through my pictures from yesterday... I was totally exhausted.

With the new charger, I managed almost 10 hours of non-stop driving. My body was hurting. But there was craziness.

Enter AE86... I am really enjoying this body... The scars are giving it character also.

I'm enjoying the driver also, but I haven't found time to paint the face properly.

I like both wheels, the XSA and FXR as well as some black watanabe looked good. This weekend I'll be using some Asphalt Tyres on Prodrives. see how it goes.

This month has been a sea of red at Max One.

Team Red is made up of callsigns... RE-Xtreme, Hidari-Maru and Taku-13Bt (driving the 86/DRB here.)

While I can't take images of the three of us together. I can get a couple at a time.

I forgot the "RAW" camera too.you can just see the empty camera holder through the 86's window.

These are the other two crazy men in action.

Crazy Man No.1 OTA-R conversion

Crazy Man No.2 (this is a TA-06) and I am Crazy Man No3 with DRB.

Today seemed to be a Red vs White day.

Team red has a slower more compact flow.

Team white today was running Takeuchi-san in the lead. These guys run a slightly faster line with a slight spread between cars.

Under constant attack.

The Turbo'd Zeon was doing well.

But if you let some one this far along side...

You'll be taking the expressway exit involuntary.

off topic.

I spent a bit of time finding a line on the reverse direction highway at Max One. It's freaking difficult with a low percentage of success but if you can link it all it's very rewarding.

Anyway... The S15 lives on.

The other white members include this TA-06 Skyline

VDS Porsche or VDFII S15 during the day as well as the AE86 seen here.

Everyone has really upped their game. and makes for constant battles.

Marine-san's new ER34 is a beast.

The bullet holes around the car cap off the military fighter warthog theme. Flat paint on the outside is a good effect.

Enjoyed today a lot guys... thanks.

Russ.

RE-Xtreme TA-06 PRO Tsunami Spec Phase 2.2 - SOLD

Here is the presentation of my amazing TA-06. Not only does it look good. It is an incredible performer.

SOLD

For a begginner looking to step up, and wanting the best of the best in a single purchace. Or a Tamiya drifter who until now has only had the VDF as their only option, this chassis takes the Tamiya item and raises the bar.

When I first tried the TA-06, it was incredible with only the Overdose steering and C Hubs, But I didn't want to have a 1.3 or 1.5 FCD machine. I wanted the crazy style of 2.2. With the standard Tamiya components you can really only get to about 1.5 FCD.

As I became familiar with the TA-06 settings which are extremely forgiving. the chassis was performing well. My initial target was asphalt. But as I began spending more and more time on Carpet. I wasn't enjoying the plastic tub of the base car.

The opportunity arose to go for this drift spec carbon chassis conversion and that changed everything, what was already great, became amazing.

The balance on this is very nice. The center of the chassis allows for a lot of different configurations. Especially with short batteries. I was using a small patch of velcro to help an already secure centre section.

Parts from Tamiya, Tech Racing, RC-Square and Overdose eventually replaced ALL components. About the only real TA-06 original parts include the gearbox housing and idler gears.

I love the chassis design also. It's tribal, wave is ultra cool!

The dry carbon finish is awesome!  I'll finish the story here and leave you to peruse the final shots of the bare chassis. With the right components, the result is amazing.

General description.
