Chassis Choices

Lets have a look at some of the newer things out there. Strating with the Bao la Fantasy II

the front of these seem way more subtle than any other chassis. leverage

but the most asked about feature is actually the rear.

a twisting torsion bar with 3 shocks.

the "floating rear" gives good traction, but the owner says thats not always the best depending on who you run with... balance is good.

Its good to see these designs up close.

And feel and compare when you are side by side.

this design incorporates the Bao La front end on the YD2.

with all components very thin, Steering angle is amazing.

Everything is very adjustable,

Now the YD2 is also just a good thing.

and when you up spec everything, they get even better still.

Nothing wrong with the belcrank front servo and steering..

simple is good.

The last one here is the Usukani PDS.

A carbon aluminium hybrid.

it also shows some unique things.

Steering ackerman adjust is very very easy.

Broz was quite busy on saturday

take a look at the RX7s on their page.

Body comp style.

  1. Hey there! I just read your "Chassis Choices" post, and it got me thinking about how much the RC drift scene has evolved. Your insights into the Bao la Fantasy II's unique design, especially that rear torsion bar with three shocks, are fascinating. It's intriguing how such innovations can impact traction and balance, depending on who you're drifting with.
