GTS-TR Semi Final.

This will be the semi final post for the GTS-TR

Fenders are settling in place.

Tiny rear spoiler is magnetic so can be removed if the owner decides for a GT wing.

Pandora RC light bucket moldings are an absolute embarrassment to the company. I had to add some customization to make them look half decent.

fenders are gooing in. the Pandora shell allows for some "flexibility" in design. The body will need re-enforcing as it's so thin. fibre tape should do the job.

Reveal and a photoshoot to come tomorrow.

Addiction - Rocket Bunny ZN-6 V2 #2

Build an Addiction 86 is a time wasting pain in the ass!

But do it right and the rewards are awesome!

It all starts with taking stock of what you have.

Laying out all the arts and making sure you know what has to be done.

then after about 4 hours of slicing and cutting... you get a bunch of left over rubbish.

And the body and THIRTY EIGHT! (38) separate pieces to continue your project plus the body itself.

For the record... the front bumper absolutely does not fit if you use the standard lines. I cut about 3mm of this and did a lot of custom trimming to get a good result.

At the end of day one, just a test fit took another 30 minutes or so.

But you start to get an idea of what the result will be like.

I had a few choices and colours in mind for the design, but in the end... I decided to stick to a High Contrast design that would highlight the kit itself.

So the masking and painting process took place.

You can see one RED White and BLUE design I had thought about masking up... but the black and white won over.

Matt Ellis Designs will be supplying some cut vinyl for this project so the results will black on white and white on black.

The reveal is always special.

Bling Bling.

Test fit on the chassis after adding the Tamiya Window treatment.

Final result will be amazing.

Can't resist a little play with wheel selections.

Still to cut the front for the intercooler and other details. But the V2.2 is deep in the build process.

DRB - Overdose

The Yokomo DRB is a machine I know very well. I have a very solid setup that I;ve trialled on a couple of chassis.  But you always need to modify that special piece to get everything right...

RE-Xtreme RC Client Build - GT-RS Part 1,2&3

+5... WEAK!

 +12 STRONG

Pokie pOKie POKE..

With a need to actually turn the wheels with a large scrub radius in the ridiculously small Pandora Wheel Wells.

And Stand up the rears for near Zero camber... Some fenders were added.

A slight lean to the front opens up the rear of the fender and brings the front into a nice line.

They don't simply stick on... you have to massage these babies.

As you can see here... the mounting surface isn't exactly flat.

So you have to slowly trim, sand, trim , scrape, adjust more and more until you have the "Right" shape

Eventually everything lines up.

Then you can move onto... masking and paint.

these were needed to create a "special" colour and applied in this order.

1/2 way through... some times you doubt yourself. But I've done enough now to know how the end result will look.

That moment of truth is the removal of the protective film.

BLING! BLURPLE!

It's more blue than purple. A full can of Blue and only a thin layer of purple.

test fit of fenders... gonna be nice...

Shiney... I've added a few stickers since this... so all thats left is the Goo Zone.

DIE HARD ORAMA

Xmas time means that Die Hard will be on TV.

So the Xmas Lights are also going up on the diorama. got a few nice posters that look good stacked in the corner.

A couple of trees planted ...

... and the weeds are growing.

Damn " big kids " left their Hot Shot and Grass Hopper out again.

With Xmas shut down for many circuits starting, the new year projects are underway... You can expect a few new machines on track in the new year.

The bright yellow top line rims turned into champagne gold Nismo LM-4. While the TE37 RT are destined for the V2.

Sunday Slitheren

GCRC! THE place to slide.

Sometimes GCRC is dead serious with mm perfect drifting lap after lap.

Sometimes there are a few mistakes.

With a few cameras around today, I didn't take many pictures. But I still managed to capture the quality.

Proximity... Check
Speed... Check
Angle... Check
Style.... Checkity Chechk Check.

There will be some awesome shots coming of My balck and white one eighty and the RX3...

RWD action mixed in

But the High CS machines are still ripping it up.

Again... Gemini / Escort Battles were destroying themselves... But Oh the Joy...

Maybe Just one more slide before Xmas.

But New year projects are many.
