I'm still looking for I.T. work since moving back to Australia, apart from hours hunting job sites and writing applications, I have a little time to hone my design skills and at the same time develop some RC stuff like this 275mm Drift Package.
Working in 3d design programs is straight forward, but you need to not only be an artist with vision, have and insane eye for detail and be very mathematical & logical, you need the main thing... TIME. Something you think looks relatively simple requires a lot of time and measurement to get the basic geometry in play before you even try to make anything look pretty.
It's a "kind of fun" painful frustrating process. These are not complete designs.
